Warm beige coloring balances the raw quality of concrete with a mineral, stone-like undertone, while the six-sided pieces make the surface distinctly geometric.

The larger mosaic scale gives each hexagon a visible outline without the broad uninterrupted field of rectangular tile. Its lappato finish reflects a measured amount of light, bringing definition to the facets of the pattern. V2 shade variation produces mild tonal movement from piece to piece. Rated locations include backsplashes, residential interior walls, shower walls and floors, plus bathroom floors and walls.

This porcelain absorbs no more than 0.5% water, qualifying as impervious and taking up almost no moisture internally. Minimum breaking strength reaches 425 pounds, compared with the 250-pound ANSI requirement for floor tile. Mohs hardness of 7 helps the face resist scratching by grit and sand. At 0.42 or above, the wet DCOF meets ANSI A326.3 criteria for level interior flooring that gets wet. The mosaic has Class A chemical resistance and resists frost as well as thermal shock.

It is sold by the sheet, with each sheet covering 0.89 square foot. Five pieces come in an 18-pound box. Other Sand formats include the 2x2 mosaic and 24x48 tile, while Smoke lappato and Atmosphere lappato provide alternate colors in the 4 inch hexagon.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1019/4157/6048/files/cemento-couture-sand-lappato-4-inch-hexagon-concrete-look-porcelain-mosaics.jpg?v=1793562682
https://stonetiledepot.com/products/cemento-couture-sand-lappato-4-inch-hexagon-concrete-look-porcelain-mosaics
