Marble Slabs
Marble is the stone most people picture when they think of a luxury kitchen or bathroom: soft veining, deep color and a surface that glows when polished. It is softer than granite and quartzite, so acids like lemon and wine can etch it. Seal it, use cutting boards, and many owners come to like the patina it builds.
Honed marble hides etching better than polished. For a whiter, harder alternative with a similar look, see quartzite slabs, or start with white marble slabs.
