Marble · Mosaics
Two grey marbles, Bardiglio Light and Palisandro, cut into the Sophia mosaic design on mesh sheets of 8 3/4 by 13 1/2 inches. The finish combines more than one surface treatment in the same sheet. Each sheet covers 0.82 square feet and six of them make a box.

Design
Bardiglio Light is the darker of the two stones and Palisandro the paler, with a linear grain that runs one way through it. Setting them together means the design holds up even from across a room, where a single marble would read as one wash of grey. Multi finish adds a second axis: honed pieces absorb the light and polished ones send it back, so what you see depends on where you are standing. The catalogue logs the sheets as varying only slightly, which keeps the repeat honest even though no two individual pieces match.
Bardiglio Light for depth, Palisandro for the paler grain.
The design also reads through reflection, not colour alone.

Where to use it
The approval carried against this sheet is shower floors, and the room listed is the kitchen. Kitchen floor tiles made up of small pieces give a joint every inch or two, which is the practical argument for mosaic wherever a surface has to slope. Fifteen boxes will see out 60 square feet with cutting allowed for. Work the adhesive fully behind each sheet: a gap under marble turns into a split piece the first time weight lands on it.
Six sheets a box, fifteen boxes for 60 square feet.
Small pieces on mesh follow a fall to a drain.
Why we chose it
Marble wants sealing once it is in, then resealing every one to two years. Stay with a pH neutral stone cleaner and keep bleach, ammonia and scouring pads away from the polished pieces.
