Marble · Tiles
Honed black marble tiles cut as hexagons measuring 5 25/32 by 5 inches. Sixteen pieces per box cover 2.4 square feet. An andorra 2x12 and a pencil liner 1/2x12 match the stone.

Design
Hexagons tile a surface without ever forming a continuous joint, so the eye finds no line to follow and the field reads as texture instead of rows. At close to six inches across, these sit between the small mosaic hexagon and a large floor format, big enough to show the stone and small enough to keep the geometry obvious. Honed black stays matte, which matters more on a dark marble than a pale one: a polished black face records every fingerprint and every drop of water. Five other formats share the colour, from a penny round to a 1x1 mosaic, plus an 18x18 tile.
Hexagons break up the grid lines entirely.
Honing keeps marks and water spots out of sight.

Where to use it
Shower floors is what is rated, with bathroom as the room recorded. Marble tile shower work in hexagons cuts more than a rectangle does, since every hexagon along the perimeter meets its boundary at an angle, so allow for that when ordering. Twenty nine boxes are needed for 60 square feet, a consequence of 2.4 square feet per box rather than of the tile being small.
Sixteen pieces, so plan the order carefully.

Why we chose it
Seal after installation, then every one to two years. Use a pH neutral cleaner. Black licorice unsanded grout is listed for the joints.
