Honed marble mosaics in the penny round design, cut from Calacatta Violet, on sheets measuring 11 3/4 inches by 11 1/4. A box holds six sheets, 5.29 square feet in total. The stone is recorded as uniform from piece to piece.
Design
A named marble in small circles
Calacatta Violet is a white marble with warm grey and violet tones running through the block. Cut into circles barely an inch across, those tones arrive as a scatter across the sheet instead of as long veins, which is a completely different effect from the same stone in a 12x24 tile, also stocked and polished. Honing keeps it matte, and matte suits a shape that already catches the eye. Uniform pieces are what hold the field together at this scale. Six sheets in a box covers a vanity splashback in one order, which is how most people meet this material first.

Circles break the stone's colour into flecks.
Where to use it
Widely rated indoors
The ratings run to shower walls and floors, interior walls and floors in homes and commercial work, splashbacks and light traffic underfoot. Rooms given are bathroom, living room and kitchen. White marble mosaics in a penny round shape follow a slope, which is the usual reason they end up on a shower pan. Sixty square feet works out at fourteen boxes. Work adhesive fully behind each sheet, since a circle bridging a void will crack before anything else does.
