Maze Basket cut in limestone
Honed limestone mosaics in the Maze Basket design, white, on sheets of 13 9/16 inches square. One sheet covers 1.27 square feet and six make a box. A threshold 4x36 matches the stone.
Design
Interlocking, not stacked
Maze Basket weaves rectangles over and under one another, so the sheet has no obvious row or column and the joins between sheets are hard to pick out once grouted. Limestone suits that kind of pattern: it is quieter than marble, with small fossil and shell traces instead of veining, and it does not fight the geometry. Honing leaves it matte. The same limestone runs through a 12x24, two 18x18 tiles, a small 2 3/4x5 1/2 and a winter leaf waterjet mosaic, along with an elevations wall deco pattern. Six sheets come in a box, which is 7.62 square feet, more than most mosaic boxes hold.

Where to use it
Outdoor walls
The approval recorded against this sheet is an outdoor wall, and bathroom appears as the room noted. Limestone is porous and takes a penetrating sealer after installation, which matters more outside than in. Ten boxes cover 60 square feet. Butter behind every sheet: a void under stone becomes a cracked piece the first time anything presses on it.

Care
Use a penetrating sealer after installation and reseal every one to two years in wet conditions. Clean with a pH neutral stone cleaner only, since acids etch limestone quickly.
