Carrara cut to a chevron
Marble tiles in white Carrara, honed and set as a chevron on 10 by 13 inch sheets at 3/8 of an inch thick. Six pieces come to a box. The same stone is available at 6x12 and 24x24, with a 4x36 trim to match.
Design
Where the rows meet
Chevron pieces are cut at an angle so that each row ends in a clean V, which is what separates it from herringbone, where the ends overlap and the point is blunt. That angled cut is done at the factory, so the pattern arrives ready rather than being built out of rectangles. Honed leaves Carrara matte and grey against white rather than glassy, and it hides a scratch better than a polished face does. Grey veining runs at its own angle through the stone, so it crosses the chevron instead of following it.

Matte, and more forgiving of scratches than polished.
Where to use it
Shower floors is the recorded approval, with kitchen as the room on file. White kitchen floor tiles in Carrara ask for a sealer and a habit of wiping spills, since marble reacts to lemon, vinegar and wine wherever they sit. Matching pieces exist in the same stone: a 5x12 honed base molding and a 6x12 polished tile are listed alongside, along with brilliant white unsanded grout.

Care
Seal after installation and reseal every one to two years. Use a pH neutral stone cleaner and keep bleach, ammonia and abrasive pads away from it.
