Botticino marble, a double apron sink
This double-basin farmhouse sink is carved by hand from Botticino beige marble quarried in Turkey. It measures 32 inches long, 16 inches wide and 10 inches high, with an apron front and two basins side by side. The stone is a warm beige with soft natural veining, polished to a gloss. Every sink is shaped individually from solid marble, so no two pieces are the same.
Design

Botticino is a fine-grained beige marble. While many beige marbles are soft, Botticino is closer to limestone in durability and still takes the high-gloss polish of marble, and its fine grain allows precise edge detailing and smooth curves. The polished finish brings out the warm tone and the soft movement of the veining. The two basins are carved from one block, and the curved edges and smooth transitions between basin and rim leave no hard-to-clean crevices where grime can collect. The apron front is a finished face of the stone, visible from across the room. Moderate color variation is normal for this stone, and the pattern of each sink is its own.

For a kitchen or a bath
In a kitchen, the two basins split the work: one for soaking or washing, the other for rinsing or prep. The 10 inch height gives each basin real capacity for mixing bowls and pans. Botticino's warm beige suits transitional kitchens with neutral palettes, contemporary farmhouse kitchens and traditional rooms, and it sits comfortably with painted, wood or stained cabinetry and with most countertop and backsplash choices. The sink is not limited to kitchens: in a large bathroom, a 32 inch double basin can serve as a shared vanity sink. Paired with a matching or complementary stone counter, it gives a custom-built look.

Installation
Plan the support first
A 32 inch marble sink is heavy, so its support is the first thing to plan. Mounted on the wall, it needs blocking between the studs at the mounting height and brackets fixed into that blocking, not drywall alone; the blocking is simplest to add while the wall is open. Set above a vanity or base cabinet instead, the top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry the stone, and the sink is set in silicone with the drain holes cut to line up with its two basins. Decide on the faucet early: a wall-mounted faucet needs supply lines run inside the wall, while a deck faucet needs space behind the sink. A professional installer is recommended.

This sink is made to order on two schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. Care
Botticino is a polished calcite marble. Like all marble it is porous, so acids such as vinegar or lemon can etch the polish and sealing slows how quickly moisture and stains soak in. The stone is sealed at installation, and how often it is resealed depends on how hard the sink is used.
