Ephesus travertine with an old world finish
This rectangular sink is handcrafted from Ephesus light beige travertine quarried in Turkey. It measures 18 inches wide, 28 inches long and 8 inches high, a size that does not demand much wall space yet gives a generous basin. The surface is antiqued, which gives the stone a worn, old world character, and each piece is made to order, so the mineral veining is never repeated.
Design
An antiqued, rustic basin
The antiqued finish softens the stone and brings out its natural texture, giving the sink the look of a basin that has been in use for years. Each mineral vein is different, so every piece is unrepeatable. Travertine absorbs and reflects light in a way that creates visual depth, a quality that is easy to notice in person. The rectangular form is simple and solid, and the beige color suits rustic interiors.

Where to use it
Bathrooms, gardens and bars
In a bathroom or powder room, the sink becomes the focal point of the wall. Outside, it suits a garden wash station, an outdoor bar or an entryway, where its basin is large enough for rinsing vegetables or filling pots for outdoor cooking. The 1.77 inch drain hole takes standard plumbing without modification.

Installation
On the wall or on a vanity
The sink can be hung on the wall or set on top of a vanity. A 1 inch bracket space underneath allows a straight wall mounting. Solid travertine is heavy, so a wall installation needs blocking between the studs, or a solid masonry wall outdoors, and a wall-mounted faucet planned with the supply lines. On a vanity, the top must be flat, level and strong, with a drain hole cut to match. A professional installer is recommended.

This sink is made to order on two schedules: the 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. It can also be made in non-standard dimensions, finishes or configurations. To start a custom order, contact us with the measurements of the project.
Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, so acids can etch it, and in hard water areas mineral deposits can mark a light stone. Sealing protects it, and how often it is resealed depends on use and exposure.
