Which white tiles are listed for a shower floor?
The white tiles listed for shower floors here are mostly marble mosaics and small marble pieces. Alpina White comes as herringbone, hexagon and 5/8x3 mosaics in honed and polished, and Carrara Blend as staggered, hexagon, basketweave and herringbone sheets. European Sugar adds a polished 4x4 and a 1x1 mosaic, and Bianco Dolomiti and Serenity come in trapeze patterns. Outside marble, Carrara Blanco porcelain mosaics and Blanc Matte ceramic mosaics are listed for shower floors too.
Can the wall and floor come from the same stone?
Yes, several white lines pair a wall piece with a shower floor piece in the same material. Alpina White marble comes as 12x24 and 12x12 field tile for the walls and as herringbone or hexagon mosaics for the floor. Carrara Blanco porcelain pairs a 12x24 wall tile with chevron and 2x2 mosaics, and Blanc Matte pairs a 12x24 porcelain wall tile with matte ceramic floor mosaics. Mink White marble goes further: its polished 24x24, small subway pieces and herringbone, chevron and pebble mosaics are all listed for shower floors as well as walls. These stones come in both large wall pieces and small floor pieces.
Are any large white squares listed for shower floors?
A few are. Several white 24x24 squares carry a shower floor listing: White Carrara in honed and in polished Select, Calacatta T polished, Royal White polished marble, and Bianco S polished porcelain. They suit a large walk-in shower where a big square keeps the floor quiet. Smaller marble formats with the same listing include the Calacatta Gold honed 1x1 hexagon mosaic, the Calacatta T polished subway piece and Palladian mosaic, and the Thassos and Silver Sky Stella and Favo mosaics, which mix white and gray marble in a patterned sheet.
Real marble or marble look porcelain on the walls?
Both are listed for white shower walls. Real marble such as Calacatta Gold, Statuarietto, Thassos White Extra and Italian Carrara comes in 12x12, 12x24 and 18x18, honed or polished, with natural variation from piece to piece. Marble look porcelain such as Calacatta Bright and Bianco Crystal repeats a printed face in 12x24, matte or polished, and Bianco Crystal and Bianco Statuario add 4x24 bullnose pieces for finished edges.
Large panels for the walls
White and ivory 24x48 porcelain gives a shower wall very few joints. Charme Evo Michelangelo Extra White and Estatuario are marble looks, Explore Arctic White a quartz look, Essence Montauk White a slate look, and Made.in Freedom White and New York White concrete looks, with Alpine as a polished white panel. These panels are also listed for interior floors, though not for the shower floor itself. More in this size is on the 24x48 tile page.
Ivory and cream for a warmer look
Ivory porcelain keeps a shower light while softening it. Trail comes in Cross Cut Ivory and Vein Cut Ivory travertine looks in 12x24 and 24x48, and Journey Natural Ivory is a stone look in the same sizes. Brooklyn Ivory, Berlin Ivory and Mood Ivory add plainer faces, and Soul Dw Ivory Line brings a fabric look in 12x24 and 6x24. A warm white pairs well with brass fixtures and wood vanities.
Pebble and glass in the shower
White river pebble mosaics give a shower floor a natural, textured feel, and Snowflake, Island White and Magnolia are listed for shower floors. Glass belongs on the walls: Frost metallic and Foam glossy glass come as 3x9 subway, and Opalo White comes as a glass hexagon mosaic in polished and multi finish. A pebble floor under glossy white walls mixes texture and shine in one color.
Honed, polished or matte white?
Polished white marble reflects light and sharpens the veining, honed white marble looks softer, and matte porcelain and ceramic give a flat, even white. Alpina White, Bella White and Venere come polished, Alpina White, Mink White and Serenity come honed, and Blanc Matte and Satin Cotton are matte. Many white marbles here come in both honed and polished, so the walls and a niche or floor can share a stone and differ in finish.
Glossy ceramic for accents and niches
Glossy and glazed white ceramic adds a bright, decorative note on shower walls. Pearl Glossy comes in the most shapes, from chevron and diamante to Ennis and Barcelona accents, Cloud White adds glossy accent shapes, Ice Bright is a glazed 4x10 with matching bullnose, and Blanc Glossy comes as a 4x12 subway. These are listed for walls only, which makes them a fit for a niche back, an accent band or a full wall above a marble floor. White subway for the shower has its own page, subway tile for showers.
