How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Porcelain · Slab

Marquinia B Lappato Lucido Porcelain Slab 64x128 arrives as a full porcelain slab in the 64x128 size we list. The surface carries a lappato lucido finish that blends a polished sheen with a lightly honed texture. We sell these porcelain slabs by quote only. You request a quote for the specific slabs you choose. Pricing is never listed online.

Design

The colour reads as a deep black across the sheet. The lappato lucido finish catches light differently depending on the angle. Each slab arrives as one piece with its own unique veining and markings. You should expect noticeable variation from one slab to the next. The batch list on this page shows the sizes currently in stock.

Slabs cut from one block share the closest veining pattern.

Each slab is a single piece with its own dimensions and markings.

Where to use it

Outdoor and interior use

We rate this material for residential countertops, commercial interior walls and residential interior walls. It also suits the living room and outdoor areas. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the slab on site. We do not deliver slabs to job sites. Delivery is by A-frame truck within fifty miles of the warehouse. Beyond that range we use crated LTL freight.

The fabricator measures the site before cutting the slab.

Long distance delivery uses crated LTL freight services.

Why we chose it

Slabs from the same batch show the closest veining match.
Check the batch list for the exact sizes we have on hand.
The lappato lucido finish gives a subtle sheen without high gloss.

Care

Porcelain requires no sealing. Clean with any standard tile cleaner. The material resists water absorption under half a percent.
