Trail Travertine Look Porcelain
Cross cut travertine has a soft, cloudy banding that runs across the face rather than in straight veins, and it is the reason travertine reads warm even in grey. Trail prints and textures that banding into porcelain, so the face survives a wet room and a heavy floor without the two things real travertine always needs: filling and sealing.
Unfilled travertine has open pores that collect grout, dirt and, in a bathroom, everything else. Filled travertine loses its fill over time and needs it made good. Neither problem exists here, which matters most in exactly the rooms where travertine looks best.
Sizes and pieces
Field tiles at 12x24 and 24x48, mesh mounted mosaics at 12x12, and bullnose trim at 3x24, in matte and slip resistant surfaces. Colours are grey, beige and white.
Where to use it
Bathroom floors and walls, entries and open plan living. Beige with a warm wall colour reads as a Mediterranean floor; grey with white walls reads as something much more modern, which is the useful thing about a travertine face without the yellow undertone of the real stone.
