How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Sintered Stone · Slab

Basalt Grey Matte Sintered Stone Slab 125x63 arrives as full slabs measuring 125 by 63 inches. The stone carries a gray color with a matte finish that absorbs light rather than reflecting it. Pricing for these slabs comes by quote only. We pull the slab from our warehouse inventory when you request a number. Explore the veining and color notes below and review the installation details here.

Design

Basalt Grey in a matte finish

The gray surface shows slight variation between pieces. Each slab presents its own markings and natural veining patterns. The matte glaze hides smudges well and gives a softer look than glossy options. Light hits the surface without creating glare. You will see differences from one slab to the next.

Matte surface behavior

The matte glaze has no reflection and hides smudges. It gives a softer look than glossy.

Veining and variation

Each slab presents its own markings. Expect slight variation between pieces.

Batch matching

A batch is the group of slabs cut from one block. Slabs in the same batch look the closest to each other.
