Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

  • Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
  • LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
  • Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
  • Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Design

Brown tones in a polished finish

The stone reads as brown with lighter and darker fragments set against a neutral background. The polished surface catches light and deepens the color while highlighting the natural veining. Each slab carries its own size and its own markings. Expect moderate variation between pieces. The finish shows wear sooner, so we place it on walls and vanities.

Moderate variation between pieces

Slabs from this batch hold the closest match. Dry-lay several pieces before setting to spread the color evenly.

Polished finish

The buffed surface deepens the brown tones and highlights the veining. It shows etching sooner, so we reserve it for low-traffic areas.

Where to use it

Walls and counters in kitchen and bathroom

We cut the stone for residential interior walls, commercial interior walls, shower walls and residential countertops. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs the material. The stone works in kitchens and bathrooms. The 1 1/4 inch thickness supports heavy vanities and large wall panels. We do not deliver to job sites. The fabricator receives the slab at the warehouse.

Residential interior walls

Residential countertops

The 1 1/4 inch thickness supports heavy vanities.

Why we chose it

  • Batch consistencyThe Fairfax batch holds six slabs cut from one block. These pieces look the closest to each other.
  • Random sizes in stockThe slab list shows the exact random dimensions available right now. We cut to order for your layout.
  • Polished surfaceThe buffed finish deepens the brown tones. It shows etching sooner, so we reserve it for low-traffic areas.

Care

Seal the marble after installation and reseal every one to two years. Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid bleach, ammonia and abrasive pads. The polished surface shows etching from acids like lemon and wine sooner.
