How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Design

Gray tones and honed surface

The color reads as a consistent gray across the face. Veining appears in subtle, irregular lines that shift from slab to slab. The honed finish leaves the surface matte and smooth to the touch. Light reflects softly off the stone, avoiding sharp glare. Expect natural variations in the pattern between adjacent pieces.

Matte finish

The honed face hides scratches better than polished limestone.

Natural veining

Each slab carries its own unique pattern lines.

Where to use it

This stone works for residential interior walls, shower walls, commercial interior walls, and residential countertops. We keep one batch of Britannia Honed Limestone Slab Random in our Fairfax, VA warehouse. No slabs from that batch are currently available in stock. A licensed fabricator will template, cut, and install the stone. Slabs from the same batch match most closely.

Wall and counter ready

Suitable for residential interior walls, shower walls, commercial interior walls, and residential countertops.

Fabricator installation

A licensed fabricator templates, cuts, and installs the stone.

Why we chose it

Batch consistencySlabs cut from the same block share the closest visual match.
Stocked sizesThe 60x113 inch size is available in the Fairfax warehouse.
Honed durabilityThe honed finish resists showing scratches and etching better than a polished face.

Care

Clean the surface with a pH-neutral stone cleaner to avoid etching. Apply a penetrating sealer after installation. Reseal the stone every one to two years in wet areas.
