How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Granite · Slab

Brown Lapiz Brushed Granite Slab Random comes in random sizes across the full slabs listed here. The stone arrives in a brushed finish that reads with a soft sheen. Each slab measures differently, so the sizes you see on this page are the ones available right now. Stone Tile Depot sells these slabs by quote. There is no set price on the page, and you request a quote for the exact slabs you select.

Design

Brown Lapiz in a brushed finish

The colour runs through a warm brown field with speckled grain that reads as granite. Veining appears in darker mineral streaks that shift from slab to slab. Light catches the brushed surface as a low sheen rather than a gloss. The finish carries a slight texture that softens the stone's natural marks. Variation between slabs stays within the Brown Lapiz family, yet each piece keeps its own size and pattern.

Random slab sizes

The batch list shows the exact measurements available for Brown Lapiz.

Brushed texture

The abrasive brushing leaves a low sheen with a soft tactile surface.

Where to use it

This granite works on shower walls, residential interior walls, residential countertops, and commercial interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts, and installs the stone on site. Stock sits in the Fairfax warehouse, and the batch list shows how many slabs are on hand. Slabs from the same batch match most closely. Granite resists scratches and heat better than marble, which helps in busy rooms.

Batch matching

Slabs cut from one block share the closest veining and colour.

Fabricator delivery

Slabs go to a licensed fabricator within 50 miles by A-frame truck.

Why we chose it

Random sizesEach slab carries its own dimensions, so you choose the piece that fits your cut.
Brushed finishThe abrasive brushing creates a soft sheen that hides minor fingerprints better than a gloss.

Care

Clean the brushed surface with a pH neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic products that etch the stone. Reseal residential countertops every one to two years to maintain resistance to stains.
