How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Granite · Slab

This polished granite slab suits residential interior walls, shower walls, residential countertops and commercial interior walls. Costa Esmeralda arrives in a deep green field with a polished surface that reflects light. We sell this material as full slabs in random sizes that match your countertop or wall layout. Pricing is available only by quote through the showroom. Contact us to request a price for the exact slab you select.

Design

Costa Esmeralda green and polished

The green background carries a speckled granite grain that gives the stone a modern character. Each slab arrives with its own natural markings and random dimensions that you cannot replicate. The polished surface reflects light and deepens the green tones while showing wear sooner than honed options. You should expect slight variation between pieces from one slab to the next. Where to use it

Interior walls and shower walls

We template and cut this stone for residential interior walls, shower walls, residential countertops and commercial interior walls. A licensed fabricator handles the templating, cutting and installation of the slab. We keep no inventory of this stone at the moment so availability is subject to change. When stock returns, slabs will arrive in batches cut from single blocks. Check the Fairfax warehouse batch list for the sizes that are currently held.

Batch matching on slabs

Slabs from one batch share the closest grain and markings. Ask the fabricator about batch availability before ordering.

Fabricator templates the slab

The licensed fabricator measures your site and cuts the stone. We do not deliver slabs to job sites.

Care

A polished granite surface resists scratches and heat better than marble. It still benefits from a quality sealer in kitchen areas. Wipe spills promptly and use a pH neutral cleaner to preserve the shine.
