Ceramic · Moldings
A yellow ceramic molding at 5/8 by 6, the same edge trim profile stocked in other colours, carrying a shower walls rating with living room recorded. Boxes hold 150 pieces.
Design
An edge trim earns its place by closing a perimeter cleanly. At 5/8 inch wide it registers as a line of colour rather than as a band, so a yellow one outlines an area without adding a second field to the composition. Ceramic moldings at this width match ordinary wall tile thickness at 3/8 inch, which is what lets them sit level against the field.
Five eighths of an inch reads as an outline.
3/8 inch matches standard wall tile.
Where to use it
Shower walls is the recorded rating and living room the noted room. Count by running length: measure every exposed edge, divide by six inches, then add spares for mitres. In a shower the number of returns is usually higher than expected, around a niche or a recess, so the count creeps up.
Niches and recesses add more edges than a first look suggests.
One box usually covers a whole shower enclosure.
Why we chose it
Wipe the glaze with a household tile cleaner. In a shower, soap residue gathers along a raised profile faster than on a flat face, so include the trim when cleaning down.
