How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Quartzite · Slab

Jatoba Brown Textured Quartzite Slab Random comes as a full slab in random sizes. The stone reads in a rich brown tone with a textured finish that adds grip and depth. Pricing is handled by quote for the slabs you select. We recommend starting with a sample to check the colour in your light. Request a sample now to confirm the look before you commit.

Design

Brown veining and batch variation

The brown colour carries natural veining that shifts from slab to slab. Each slab is one piece of stone with its own size and markings. The textured finish reads softly in light and hides wear well. Variation between slabs is expected and adds character to the project. View batch sizes to see the random dimensions currently held.

One piece per slab

Every slab is a single piece of stone with its own size and markings.

Textured grip

The textured finish adds surface relief for grip and hides wear.

Where to use it

Walls and counters in kitchen and bath

This slab suits residential countertops and both commercial and residential interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs it for you. We do not deliver slabs to a home or job site. Delivery is by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse or by crated LTL freight beyond that. Slabs from the same batch match most closely. Check batch availability to see which sizes are held at our Fairfax warehouse.

Kitchen and bath ready

Suitable for residential countertops and interior walls in bathroom and kitchen.

Fabricator installation

A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs the slab.
