How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Quartzite · Slab

Residential interior walls, commercial interior walls, shower walls, and residential countertops are the surfaces this stone handles well. Madeira Polished Quartzite arrives in full slabs of random sizes. The beige body carries a polished finish that reflects light. Pricing is provided by quote for the slabs you select. The stone is a metamorphic sandstone that holds its polish over time.

Design

The beige background moves through darker mineral marks and lighter calcite veins. Each slab carries its own vein pattern and edge shape. The polished surface reads bright under overhead lights but shows wear faster than a honed option. Expect natural variation between one slab and the next. The batch list on this page shows the exact sizes currently available.

Vein direction varies

The mineral lines run in different directions on each slab. This gives a natural look that no patterned tile can replicate.

Random slab sizes

No two slabs match in dimension. The fabricator cuts each piece to your project needs.

Where to use it

The stone works for residential interior walls, commercial interior walls, shower walls, and residential countertops. A licensed fabricator templates and installs every slab. The batch list on this page shows six slabs in Fairfax. Slabs cut from one batch match most closely. Open the room with a material that holds a deep shine.

Fabricator install required

We deliver to a licensed fabricator only. They template, cut, and install the stone for you.

Batch matching matters

Slabs from the same batch share the closest veining. Order enough material from one batch for your project.

Why we chose it

The Fairfax batch holds six slabs with matching vein direction. This reduces color shift across your install.
Random sizes are in stock now. The fabricator cuts each slab to your exact layout.
The polished surface holds its shine longer than honed quartzite. It resists etching better than marble.

Care

Seal the stone in kitchens and wet rooms. Wipe spills quickly to protect the polished surface. Use pH-neutral cleaners only.

Questions we get

How do I buy these slabs?

Request a quote for the slabs you choose. We price by the slab, not by square foot.

How is a slab delivered?

We deliver to a licensed fabricator only. Distance from the warehouse determines if we use an A-frame truck or crated LTL freight.
