How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Granite · Slab

This polished granite slab suits commercial interior walls, residential interior walls, residential countertops, and shower walls. Nero Oceano arrives in a deep black colour with a polished finish that reads as a mirror shine in light. Full slabs come in random sizes with a thickness of 1 1/4 inch. We sell these by quote, so pricing is determined once you select the specific slabs for your project. Explore the veining and grain patterns or Check the suitable surfaces and rooms to plan your next install.

Design

Black granite with a mirror shine

The stone presents a black ground with a speckled grain typical of hard igneous rock. A polished finish deepens the colour and brings out the stone's natural markings. Each slab carries its own unique size and distinct veining. Expect noticeable variation between one slab and the next. The batch list on this page shows the exact sizes available in stock.

Mirror Polish

The polished surface reflects light and intensifies the black background.

Natural Variation

Veining and grain patterns differ across every individual slab.

Where to use it

This granite works for kitchen and bathroom applications where durability matters. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the slab after it arrives. One batch holds six slabs at the Fairfax, VA warehouse. Slabs from that batch match most closely. See why the batch count matters or Learn how to buy a quote.

Fabricator Install

Slabs go to a licensed fabricator for templating and installation.

Batch Matching

Slabs from the same batch share the closest visual characteristics.

Why we chose it

One batch availableAll six slabs come from a single batch cut from one block.
Random slab sizesSlabs arrive in random sizes, with the largest in stock measuring 77x128 inches.
Polished graniteThe polished finish offers a mirror shine that suits walls and countertops.

Care

Polished granite needs less frequent sealing than marble, though a sealer still helps in kitchens. Wipe spills promptly to maintain the mirror shine. Avoid abrasive cleaners that dull the surface.
