Marble · Slab
Petit Granit is a black marble cut into random sized slabs for your project. The honed finish leaves the surface matte to the touch. We sell these marble slabs by quote rather than at a fixed price. Each slab arrives at a licensed fabricator for templating and installation. The sizes currently in stock range from 60 by 94 inches to 62 by 128 inches.
Design
Black stone with honed face
The stone presents a deep black ground with lighter mineral streaks. Each slab brings its own pattern of veins and subtle tone shifts. The honed face reads softly in ambient light without reflecting glare. Expect visible variation between one slab and the next since every piece comes from a different part of the block. The batch list shows six groups in stock. One slab covers roughly thirty nine square feet while another may reach sixty square feet. The random sizes mean each cut must be planned around the material.
Six batches in Fairfax
Six batches sit in Fairfax. Twelve slabs total are available across two warehouses. Slabs from the same batch match most closely.
Random sizes in stock
Stocked sizes include 60x94 in, 61x114 in, 77x114 in, 77x112 in, and 62x128 in. Each slab is a single piece of stone with its own dimensions.
Where to use it
This stone works for residential countertops and residential interior walls. It also suits commercial interior walls and shower walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the material. The honed finish hides scratches and etching better than a polished face. Slabs from one batch look the closest to each other. The random sizes require precise templating. We do not deliver to job sites. Delivery goes to a fabricator by A-frame truck within fifty miles of the warehouse. Beyond that range, the stone travels by crated LTL freight.
Residential and commercial walls
The slab fits residential countertops, residential interior walls, commercial interior walls, and shower walls. It suits kitchen and bathroom rooms.
Fabricator delivery only
We ship to a licensed fabricator. Delivery is by A-frame truck within fifty miles of the warehouse. Crated LTL freight covers longer distances.

Care
Seal the marble after installation and reseal every one to two years. Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid bleach, ammonia and abrasive pads.
