Setup, Care, and Warranty
Setup and placement
Fill it, plug it in, done. Set it level, because a spouted bowl out of plumb pours past the bowl below rather than into it, which sends water outside the fountain.
Put a tray or a mat under it. Any tabletop fountain throws fine spray, and on untreated wood that shows over months.
Water level and daily care
Keep enough water in the base to cover the pump so it never runs dry. A small reservoir drops fast, faster still indoors with heating on, so check every few days.
Use filtered or distilled water in hard water areas. On a small fountain white film appears on the rims within weeks, and it settles into the engraved banding where it is hardest to remove.
Cleaning
