How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Granite · Slab

River White Polished Granite Slab Random is a hard igneous stone sold in full slabs of random sizes. The slab arrives with a polished finish that reads bright against the white background. Pricing is by quote because each slab carries its own dimensions and markings. We do not list a price online. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the slab after you request a quote.

Design

White base with speckled grain

The white base carries a speckled grain typical of granite. You will see slight variation between pieces from one slab to the next. The polished buff reflects light and deepens the stone's color. Each slab measures a random size. The veining does not repeat. The finish shows wear sooner than a honed surface.

Where to use it

Shower walls and kitchen counters

The slab suits shower walls, commercial interior walls, residential countertops and residential interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs it. We do not ship slabs to a home or job site. Delivery runs by A-frame truck within fifty miles of the warehouse. Beyond that range the slab travels by crated LTL freight. Slabs from one batch match most closely. Open the batch list to see the sizes in stock at our Fairfax warehouse.

Why we chose it

Batch consistencySlabs cut from one block share the closest grain pattern. The batch list shows which sizes sit in stock at Fairfax.
Random dimensionsEach slab arrives as one piece with its own size. The random format allows custom cuts for shelves and large walls.
Polished depthThe buffed surface reflects light and deepens the white background. A sealer helps in kitchens and bathrooms.

Care

Polished granite holds up well to scratches and heat. Apply a sealer to kitchen counters and bathroom walls. Wipe spills quickly to protect the buffed surface.
