How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Quartzite · Slab

Riviera Quartzite arrives in a white base with a polished surface that reflects light and deepens the background. Design

Riviera in a polished finish

The polished surface creates a mirror shine that pulls out the stone's natural depth. Each slab carries its own unique veining and markings. You will see variation between one piece and the next. The veining patterns differ across the batch. The white background provides a clean canvas for the grey and charcoal lines. The suitable surfaces for this stone are listed in the next section.

Where to use it

We keep two slabs of Riviera Quartzite in stock at our Fairfax, VA warehouse. These pieces come from one batch, so they will match closely. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone. The slab suits residential countertops, shower walls and commercial interior walls. It fits in the kitchen, bathroom and living room. Check the delivery details for your area.

Why we chose it

One batch in stock. We hold one batch of Riviera Quartzite at the Fairfax warehouse. Slabs from this batch share the closest veining and colour match.
79x125 inch size. The current slabs measure 79 by 125 inches. This large format works well for residential countertops and commercial interior walls.
Polished quartzite finish.Quartzite is a metamorphic sandstone that is harder than marble. It holds a polish well but shows wear sooner than honed finishes.

Care

Seal the stone in kitchens and wet rooms to resist etching. Clean with a pH neutral cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads that scratch the polished surface.
