How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

One batch in Fairfax holding Royal Macaubas

One batch of Royal Macaubas sits in Fairfax, VA. A batch is the group of slabs cut from one block, so the slabs in that batch look the closest to each other. This polished quartzite comes in random sizes as full slabs. We price these slabs by quote. You get a number after you pick the specific pieces.

Design

Royal Macaubas in a polished finish

The stone reads blue with grey veining that moves across the surface. A polished finish is buffed to a mirror shine that deepens the stone's color and veining. It shows etching and wear sooner. The veining and the size of each slab differ. See how Royal Macaubas looks in the showroom.

Random slab sizes

Each piece is one full slab with its own markings and dimensions.

Polished surface

The buffed finish reflects light and highlights the blue and grey patterns.

Where to use it

Suitable for kitchen and bathroom walls

This stone suits residential interior walls and residential countertops. It also works for commercial interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs it. We ship to the fabricator only. Learn about Royal Macaubas installation.

Countertops and walls

The polished finish suits vanities and low-traffic areas.

Fabricator delivery

Slabs go to a licensed fabricator, not a home.

Care

Quartzite is harder than marble and holds a polish well. It resists etching far better than marble. Seal it in kitchens and wet rooms to protect the surface.
