How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Product page story for Santorini Polished Quartzite Slab Random

Santorini Polished Quartzite Slab Random arrives as full slabs in random sizes, including the 78x118 inch format currently in stock. The stone reads in a grey tone with a polished finish that catches the light. Pricing runs by quote for the slabs a buyer selects. A licensed fabricator then templates and installs the material. Stone Tile Depot holds the inventory at its Fairfax, VA warehouse.

Design

Grey stone with polished depth

The grey body carries natural veining that shifts from slab to slab. A polished surface deepens those markings and reflects overhead lighting. Variation appears in both the width of the veining and the placement of the patterns. Each slab measures roughly 63.92 square feet and arrives as a single piece of stone. One batch sits in Fairfax with five slabs ready for selection.

Where to use it

Five slabs in Fairfax stock

The polished surface suits shower walls, residential interior walls, commercial interior walls and residential countertops. A licensed fabricator templates the stone to fit kitchen and bathroom layouts. One batch of five slabs rests in Fairfax, VA, and slabs from that batch match most closely. The material resists etching better than marble but requires sealing in kitchens and wet rooms. Stone Tile Depot ships the stone to a licensed fabricator, not to a home or job site.
