How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Marble · Slab

Scandalus Polished Marble Slab Random is a white marble sold by quote. The stone arrives in random full slab sizes and requires a direct quote for pricing. We do not list prices online. Buyers select slabs from the batch inventory and request a formal quote for the pieces they want.

Design

White with grey movement

The white field carries grey veining that shifts from thin lines to broader bands. The polished surface reflects light and deepens the stone's natural color. Each slab arrives with its own size and its own markings. Variation between slabs is expected and adds character to the installation. The finish reads bright in well lit rooms but shows wear sooner than honed options.

Random slab sizes

Each piece is cut from a different part of the block and measures differently than the next.

Polished finish

The surface is buffed to a mirror shine that highlights the veining pattern.

Where to use it

Walls and counters

This stone is rated for commercial interior walls, residential countertops and residential interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone. We hold multiple batches in our Fairfax warehouse. Slabs from the same batch match most closely in tone and veining. The polished finish suits low traffic areas where etching will not be a concern.

Fabricator installation

We ship slabs to a licensed fabricator who handles template and installation.

Batch matching

Request slabs from the same batch to keep veining consistent across the project.

Why we chose it

Batch consistencySlabs from one batch come from the same block and look the closest to each other.
Random dimensionsThe slab sizes in stock vary and are cut to order for your specific layout.
Polished depthThe polished finish on Scandalus brings out the contrast in the grey movement.

Care

Seal the stone after installation and reseal every one to two years. Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid bleach or abrasive pads. Marble reacts to acids like lemon and vinegar, so wipe spills quickly.
