How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Tempest Crystal: Green Quartzite in a Polished Finish

Tempest Crystal is a green quartzite sold by quote. It arrives in random sizes as full slabs, starting with the 76x127 inch option listed here. You will review the available inventory at our Fairfax warehouse before requesting a quote. Each slab is a single piece of stone with its own natural markings. We price these slabs individually based on your selection.

Design

Green Quartzite with a Polished Finish

The polished surface reflects light and deepens the stone's green tones. Each slab displays unique veining and natural variation. The random sizes mean every installation will have distinct seams. You should expect differences between adjacent slabs. The variation is part of the material's character.

Natural Variation

Each slab has unique veining and size.

Polished Read

Reflective finish deepens green tones.

Where to use it

Two Batches in Fairfax Stock

This quartzite works for residential interior walls, residential countertops, and commercial interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone. We currently hold two slabs from one batch at our Fairfax location. Slabs from the same batch match most closely. The fabricator cuts the stone to your exact dimensions.

Interior Walls

Suitable for residential and commercial interiors.

Countertops

Works for residential kitchen and bathroom counters.

Why we chose it

Batch ConsistencySlabs from the same batch share the closest veining patterns.
Stocked SizesWe currently have 76x127 inch slabs available in Fairfax.
Finish DurabilityQuartzite holds a polish well and resists etching better than marble.

Care

Seal the stone in kitchens and wet rooms to maintain the polish. Clean with pH-neutral cleaners to preserve the reflective surface. Avoid acidic substances that can dull the finish over time.
