How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Granite · Slab

Open green granite meets a leather finish that softens its natural sheen into a brushed, low-glare face. This stone comes as full slabs in random sizes, with the only size currently in stock measuring 77 by 137 inches. Full slab sizes and batch details are listed below. Pricing is by quote and requires a direct request. How slabs reach a fabricator is explained in the use section.

Design

The stone reads as a deep green field with subtle mineral movement and a uniform leather texture. Light catches the brushed face without creating sharp reflections. Each slab arrives with its own size and unique markings. Order a slab sample to see the green tone and finish in person. Expect natural variation between slabs, as each piece is cut from a different block. The single batch in Fairfax holds one slab, so matching multiple pieces requires careful planning.

Why we chose it

One batch holds one slabThe Fairfax warehouse lists a single batch containing one slab of 77 by 137 inches. This limits immediate matching options for large projects.
Random slab size in stockThe 77 by 137 inch piece covers 73.26 square feet. Other random sizes are not currently listed.
Leather finish reads softThe brushed face hides water spots and fingerprints better than a polished surface. It offers a low sheen that works in busy rooms.

Care

Clean the leather face with a pH neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic products that etch the stone. Reseal the surface periodically to maintain stain resistance. The stone resists scratches and heat better than marble, though a sealer still helps in kitchens.
