Where each material fits

For floors, porcelain is the workhorse choice since it resists stains and wear and never needs sealing. For backsplashes, glazed ceramic and glass wipe grease off easily, while sealed natural stone brings warmth and character behind a range. Small mosaics make the cuts around outlets and under cabinets much simpler.
