Which limestone patterns are cut for a backsplash?
Waterjet mosaics are cut with a water jet into curves and leaf or picket shapes. Winter Leaf is a waterjet leaf pattern on 4 7/8x6 13/16 sheets in three stones: Jerusalem Light in beige, and Gray Fousanna and Thala Gray in gray. Jerusalem Light also comes as a Large Picket waterjet mosaic on 6x12 sheets, and the Multicolor Polygon waterjet mosaic comes on large 16 9/16 inch square sheets in mixed tones.
Textured and 3D hexagons
Two textured hexagon mosaics add depth to the face of the stone. Seagrass, a green limestone, and Thala Beige, which is listed in the gray color group, come as textured 3D hexagons on 10 3/8x12 sheets. Seagrass and Paris also come together as a textured 2x2 mosaic on 12x12 sheets. These pieces show relief where the honed tiles show a flat, even face.
Rock face strips
Paris rock face mosaics have a split, uneven stone face. The 2x6 strips come on 12x14 sheets and are listed with a random thickness, and the 1x2 pieces come on 12 5/8 inch square sheets at 3/4 inch. Paris is listed in white, so a rock face wall shows texture in a single pale tone.
Honed squares and small subway pieces
The plainest limestone backsplash tiles here are honed Jerusalem Light, a beige limestone in 4x4 squares and small 2 3/4x5 1/2 subway pieces. Hanalei is a honed multicolor limestone in slim 5/8x1 1/2 pieces on 12x12 sheets, and Paris comes as a honed hexagon in 5 25/32x5. The Multicolor Window mosaic on 6x12 sheets mixes finishes in a window pattern.
Which pieces are listed for showers?
Apart from the Paris honed hexagon, the limestone backsplash pieces here are also listed for shower walls and interior floors. The limestone mosaics listed for shower floors are gathered in limestone bathroom tiles.
What colors are there?
Beige comes in Jerusalem Light and the Multicolor Window mosaic, white in Paris, gray in Gray Fousanna, Thala Gray, Thala Beige and the Seagrass and Paris blend, green in Seagrass, and mixed tones in Hanalei and the Polygon mosaic. Every limestone in every format is in limestone tiles, and stone backsplash tile in other materials is in stone backsplash tiles.
Which color comes in which pattern?
Jerusalem Light, the beige, has the widest range of shapes: 4x4 squares, 2 3/4x5 1/2 subway pieces, the Large Picket and the Winter Leaf. The grays come mainly as Winter Leaf in Gray Fousanna and Thala Gray, with Thala Beige as a 3D hexagon. Paris, the white, comes as rock face strips, a honed hexagon and blended with Seagrass in a 2x2. Seagrass, the green, comes as a 3D hexagon, and the multicolor stones as the Hanalei pieces and the Window and Polygon patterns.
Honed, textured or rock face: how do they differ?
Honed limestone is ground to a smooth, matte face, as on Jerusalem Light, Hanalei, the Winter Leaf mosaics and the Paris hexagon. Textured pieces, the 3D hexagons and the 2x2 blends, have a face with relief. Rock face pieces, the Paris 2x6 and 1x2 strips, show the split face of the stone. The Multicolor Window and Polygon mosaics are listed as multi finish, mixing faces within one sheet.
What sheet sizes are there?
Sheet sizes vary with the pattern. The Winter Leaf mosaics come on 4 7/8x6 13/16 sheets, the Large Picket and Multicolor Window on 6x12, the 3D hexagons on 10 3/8x12, Hanalei and the 2x2 blends on 12x12, the Paris rock face strips on 12x14 and 12 5/8 inch square sheets, and the Polygon on 16 9/16 inch square sheets. Jerusalem Light and the Paris hexagon come as single tiles.
