These mosaics are cut from the real thing: marble, travertine, basalt, and limestone, mounted on mesh in hexagon, herringbone, penny, and basketweave sheets. Because the color comes from the stone and not from a print, every sheet varies. Tumbled Chiaro travertine, honed Carrara blends, penny-round Basaltina basalt, and polished Thassos basketweave all shift as the light changes through the day.

Caring for natural stone

Stone is porous, so seal these before and after grouting and clean them with pH-neutral products rather than anything acidic or abrasive. Marble and limestone are calcium based and can etch from acids, while travertine and basalt are more forgiving. Sealed and cleaned gently, a stone mosaic lasts a lifetime.
