How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Granite · Slab

Absolute Black Brushed Granite Slab Random arrives as full slabs in random sizes. The stone reads deep black with a brushed finish that softens the surface. Each slab comes as a single piece of stone with its own size and its own markings. Pricing is by quote for the slabs you select. Open the batch list on the product page to see what is currently available.

Design

Black stone with brushed texture

The stone sits in a solid black field. The brushed finish works with abrasive brushes to leave a soft, slightly textured surface with a low sheen. Light catches the texture without creating glare. Slight variation appears between pieces. Each slab carries its own natural markings.

Low sheen

The brushed finish creates a soft, slightly textured surface with a low sheen that avoids glare.

Natural markings

Where to use it

Commercial walls and residential counters

This granite suits commercial interior walls, residential countertops, shower walls and residential interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone. The batch list shows the sizes in stock. Slabs from one batch match most closely. Granite resists scratches and heat better than marble. A sealer still helps in kitchens. The stone is not frost resistant. It fits bathroom and kitchen projects.
