How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Basalt · Slab

A single batch of Basaltina Honed Basalt Slab Random sits in Pompano Beach, FL. That one batch contains one slab, and a batch means the slabs share the closest visual match. This basalt stone arrives in a honed finish and a random size. It is sold as a full slab, not by the square foot. Pricing requires a quote for the exact piece you select.

Design

The stone reads black with a fine, even grain. The honed finish sits matte and hides scratches better than a polished face. Light passes across the surface without glare. Variation exists because each slab carries its own natural markings. One slab covers 43.69 square feet. The size in stock measures 52 by 121 inches.

Honed matte finish

Ground smooth but left matte, it hides scratches and etching better than a polished face.

Random slab size

Each slab is one piece of stone with its own size and markings.
