Product Description
The glazed surface creates a protective barrier against spills, moisture, and stains—making these tiles especially valuable in bathrooms, kitchens, and other wet areas. Unlike their unglazed counterparts, glazed terracotta tiles require no sealing, simplifying installation and long-term maintenance.
Kiln-fired terracotta delivers exceptional durability and can withstand heavy foot traffic in kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways without losing its beauty. A quick sweep and mop keeps them looking fresh and clean. The semi-matte glaze finish on these Bourbon tiles strikes the perfect balance—it provides protection while maintaining a sophisticated, understated appearance that works across diverse design aesthetics.
The 4x8 rectangular format offers versatility for both floors and walls. In kitchens, glazed terracotta adds warmth and an inviting atmosphere whether used for flooring or backsplashes, creating a cozy environment perfect for cooking and gathering. Clay tiles adapt to any design style from modern and contemporary to rustic and traditional, creating trendy modern Mediterranean, earthy, and wabi-sabi spaces.
The warm bourbon and brown tones visible in this tile align with current design trends. Terracotta has remained a favorite in interiors for its authentic, warm, and timeless appeal, with homeowners choosing these tiles across kitchen floors, utilities, bathrooms, and hallways. The material creates a sense of warmth and groundedness, making bathrooms feel spa-like and nature-inspired.
Why Bourbon Semi-Matte Over Other Finishes: The semi-matte glaze reduces gloss and reflectivity compared to high-gloss alternatives, creating a more refined, contemporary look while maintaining all protective benefits. This finish works particularly well in modern and transitional spaces where you want durability without the slick appearance of high-glazed tiles.
Size & Design Flexibility: At 4x8 inches, these rectangular tiles create visual interest through various layout patterns—from classic running bond to chevron or herringbone arrangements. The elongated format naturally draws the eye and can make spaces feel larger and more sophisticated.
