How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Sintered Stone · Slab

Calatorao Depth With a Silk Surface

Calatorao makes a dark statement. This sintered stone slab has a restrained mineral pattern and a Silk finish, suited to modern kitchen, bathroom, or living room plans that need visual weight.

Design

Charcoal Brown With Fine Diagonal Lines

Its field appears deep. The photo shows a charcoal to brown black ground with faint cloudy variation and a few long, narrow beige gray lines running diagonally across the face. Veining is sparse rather than busy. Small warm patches mingle through the dark field, while the Silk finish keeps reflections controlled.

Long linear movement

Widely spaced diagonal lines travel across the dark surface without creating a dense pattern.

Soft Silk character

The finish gives the slab a gentle surface presence instead of a bright mirror effect.

Where to use it

Dark Continuity Across Modern Projects

Think in large sections. At 126x59 inches, the rectangular slab gives a fabricator a fixed format for planning residential countertops, interior walls, or shower walls with fewer pattern interruptions. It can also be specified for residential interior floors or light floors where its dark field establishes a firm base.

Measured slab format

The listed 126x59 inch size helps the fabricator map cuts before fabrication begins.

Closely repeating pattern

The design runs through the body and repeats closely from slab to slab.

Why we chose it

Manufactured mineral surfaceNeolith sintered stone is pressed and fired from minerals for a consistent finished product.
Controlled variationA batch is one production run, so pieces from that run coordinate closely.
Broad application rangeThe same dark material can connect a kitchen countertop with nearby residential interior walls or floors.

Questions we get

How consistent are different Calatorao slabs?

The pattern repeats closely from slab to slab. Choosing material from one production run gives the closest coordination.

How do I request pricing?

Select the current slab option shown on the page and ask for a quote. Pricing is provided by slab.

Where is the slab delivered?

It goes to a licensed fabricator for templating, cutting, and installation. Delivery uses an A-frame truck within 50 miles or crated LTL freight beyond that.
