How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Marble · Slab

Cedar Brown honed marble presents a matte brown surface with a smooth, non-reflective finish. This stone arrives as full slabs cut to random dimensions rather than standard tile sizes. We price these slabs by quote based on the specific pieces you select. Contact us to review the available inventory and discuss your project requirements.

Design

Cedar Brown Honed Finish

The honed surface reads matte under most lighting conditions while revealing the natural brown tones of the stone. Each slab displays its own veining patterns and color shifts since the material comes from different parts of the block. You can expect slight variation between pieces as the stone is cut and finished. The random sizes mean each slab offers a unique footprint for your design. Cedar Brown honed marble brings a quiet, grounded presence to modern interiors.

Matte Surface Read

The honed finish hides scratches and etching better than a polished face.

Natural Variation

Each slab carries its own veining and color shifts from the block.

Where to use it

One Slab in Fairfax

This stone suits commercial interior walls, residential interior walls, residential countertops, and shower walls. A licensed fabricator will template and install the slab after you select it from our inventory. One batch containing one slab sits in stock at our Fairfax, VA warehouse. Slabs from that same batch match each other most closely. You can order marble slabs in the 59x103 inch size currently held at that location.

Fabricator Installation

A licensed fabricator templates, cuts, and installs the slab.

Batch Matching

Slabs from the same batch look the closest to each other.

Why we chose it

Batch consistencyThe single batch in Fairfax ensures the closest visual match across your installation.
Stocked sizeThe 59x103 inch slab is currently available for immediate project planning.
Honed durabilityThe honed finish resists showing scratches better than a polished surface.

Care

Seal the marble after installation and reseal it every one to two years. Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid bleach, ammonia, or abrasive pads. Dry-lay pieces from the slab before setting to spread the color variation evenly.
