How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Design

Black granite with a polished finish

The polished surface reads bright under overhead light. The black body carries a speckled grain typical of granite. Veining shifts from slab to slab. Variation between one slab and the next is expected. The finish deepens the dark tones. Each slab has its own size and markings.

Random slab sizes

Each slab is a single piece of stone with its own dimensions and markings. The batch list on this page shows the sizes in stock.

Polished surface

The polished finish is buffed to a mirror shine that deepens the stone's color. It shows etching and wear sooner, so it suits walls and vanities.

Where to use it

The stone suits shower walls and commercial interior walls. It also works for residential countertops and residential interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone. We do not deliver slabs to a job site. Delivery is by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse. Beyond that distance, the slab ships by crated LTL freight. The only surfaces you may name for this slab are shower walls, commercial interior walls, residential countertops, and residential interior walls. The only rooms you may name are kitchen and bathroom.

Fabricator installation

A licensed fabricator templates, cuts, and installs the slab. We do not deliver slabs to a job site.

Why we chose it

Batch matchingA batch is the group of slabs cut from one block. Slabs in the same batch look the closest to each other.
Random sizesEach slab is a single piece of stone with its own dimensions and markings. The batch list on this page shows the sizes in stock.
Polished finishThe polished finish is buffed to a mirror shine that deepens the stone's color. It shows etching and wear sooner, so it suits walls and vanities.

Care

Polished granite is dense and needs sealing less often than marble. A sealer still helps in kitchens.
