How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Matte Estatuario in 3/4 Inch

A honed finish gives this Estatuario sintered stone slab a smooth, matte surface that lets its white field and broad gray sweeps speak quietly. The pattern has direction. Manufactured from pressed and fired minerals, the rectangular 126x63 slab carries a substantial listed thickness of 3/4 inch.

Design

Broad Clouds Above Fine Diagonals

At the top, layered gray clouds and broken bands move in from the left before thinning toward the center and right edge. Fine veins descend diagonally. The lower half is much lighter, holding faint wisps and a few narrow gray lines, so the pattern shifts from active above to open below.

Top-weighted movement

The strongest gray shapes sit along the upper edge and upper left.

Smooth matte finish

Honing reduces glare and leaves the white field visually soft.

Where to use it

Strong Scale Without High Shine

On shower walls, the honed face and long gray movement create a broad composition without mirror-like reflection. Residential countertops also suit the format. A fabricator can orient the active upper pattern around planned cuts, while quieter white sections support open kitchen runs or restrained bathroom wall layouts.

Questions we get

Does the honed finish reflect much light?

No. It is ground smooth but remains matte, which keeps reflections controlled and helps the gray pattern read softly against the white field.

How should I choose a production run?

Compare the photos for the batches currently shown on the page. Slabs within one run match closely, and the displayed selection changes as slabs are purchased.

Who arranges the final installation?

The slab is delivered to a licensed fabricator, who templates, cuts and installs it. We do not deliver it to the job site or perform those fabrication steps.
