Imperial White marble soaking tub
This freestanding soaking tub is hand carved from a single block of Imperial White marble, quarried in Turkey. The surface is polished, and the stone shows the subtle variations that mark a piece carved by hand from natural marble, so no two tubs are identical. It measures 32 inches wide, 70 inches long and 20 inches high, which gives a generous soaking space inside a compact sculptural footprint. The walls range from 0.75 to 1.25 inches thick and keep the tub rigid through decades of daily use, without flexing or warping.
Design
Polished white with soft variation
Imperial White is a clean white marble with quiet, natural variation in tone. Polishing brings up a soft gloss that catches daylight and lamp light and shows the small shifts in the stone. The form is carved from one block, with a smooth basin and an outer profile shaped by hand, so the tub reads as a single sculptural object rather than a fixture built from parts. Moderate color variation between tubs is normal for this marble and part of what makes each one individual. The white works with pale wood, warm metal fittings or darker floors, and it sits easily in a primary bathroom of almost any layout.

Where to use it
Sized for a primary bath
At 70 inches long and 32 inches wide, the tub gives room for a full length soak, and at 20 inches high it is easy to step into. As a freestanding piece, it can stand in the center of a primary bathroom, under a window or with one long side near a wall. Marble works as a thermal mass: the stone absorbs heat from the bath water and slowly gives it back, which keeps the water warm longer and makes deeper, longer soaks possible without refilling with hot water. The 1.5 inch drain hole fits standard plumbing connections.

Installation
Four things before installing
Floor preparation comes first. The tub is heavy even empty, and the floor must be firm, rigid and reinforced enough to carry it full of water with a bather in it. Wood joists may need professional assessment and reinforcement; concrete slabs usually offer better support. Uneven or soft floors risk settling over time. Plumbing alignment comes next: a plumber should confirm the drain rough in against the 1.5 inch opening before purchase, because moving a drain later can mean reworking the floor. Third, the drain assembly, overflow fittings, mounting hardware and the floor or wall mounted filler are not included and are chosen separately. Finally, professional installation is recommended, given the weight, the precise drain alignment and the value of a hand carved piece.

Care
Imperial White is a calcite marble with a polished surface. Like all marble it is porous, so acidic substances such as vinegar or lemon can etch the polish and strong colors can stain it. Periodic resealing maintains the finish, and how often it is done depends on how much the tub is used.
