How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Iron Moss in a Riverwashed Finish

Iron Moss is a black sintered stone slab with a rugged, mineral-like surface and a broad field of charcoal movement. It feels grounded and substantial. Manufactured by pressing and firing minerals, this Neolith surface carries its pattern through the body and repeats closely from slab to slab.

Design

Dark Movement, Riverwashed Texture

Across the face, smoky gray clouds overlap a nearly black ground, with dense mottling that shifts in several directions rather than forming straight veins. The pattern stays low contrast. Fine marks and rough-looking patches give the slab a weathered character, while the Riverwashed finish adds texture without introducing a reflective shine.

Layered charcoal color

Black, graphite, and smoky gray areas merge into a dense pattern with no single dominant vein.

Tactile Riverwashed face

The textured finish supports the slab's worn, mineral-like appearance and keeps reflections subdued.

Where to use it

A Strong Surface for Modern Rooms

For a kitchen, this slab can make residential countertops feel solid without relying on bright color or bold white veining. It works beyond counters, too. The dark field can continue across shower walls or residential interior walls, giving a bathroom or living room one consistent, closely repeated pattern.

Fixed slab format

Each rectangular slab comes at the listed 126x63 size with a 1/2 inch thickness.

Coordinated applications

Consider it for residential countertops, shower walls, or residential interior floors.

Why we chose it

Made from fired mineralsNeolith sintered stone is manufactured under pressure and heat, producing a consistent surface rather than a stone taken from the earth.
Close pattern matchingSlabs from one production run repeat closely, which helps a fabricator plan adjoining sections with fewer unexpected shifts.
Selected through current photosThe batches available now appear on this page, and those choices change as slabs sell.

Questions we get

What does the Riverwashed finish look like?

It gives the face a textured, low-reflection surface that strengthens the mottled, weathered look visible in the slab photo.

How does the production batch affect the pattern?

A Neolith batch is one production run. The through-body pattern repeats closely from slab to slab, though current batches change as material sells.

How is an Iron Moss slab purchased and delivered?

It is priced by quote and sent to a licensed fabricator for templating, cutting, and installation. Delivery uses an A-frame truck within 50 miles or crated LTL freight beyond that.
