How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Quartzite · Slab

The slabs in stock measure random lengths and widths. London Grey is a gray quartzite with a polished finish. Each slab arrives as a single piece of stone. Pricing is by quote. The stone Tile Depot sells full slabs in the random sizes listed on the batch page.

Design

London Grey in a polished finish

The polished surface reads with a mirror shine that deepens the gray body. Veining runs through the slab in irregular lines that shift from one piece to the next. Expect noticeable variation between slabs because each one comes from a different block. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone. The finish shows wear sooner than honed alternatives, so it suits walls and vanities. The stone Tile Depot keeps the batch list updated so you can see what matches. Six slabs in Fairfax

Mirror-like polish

The buffed surface reflects light and intensifies the gray tones.

Irregular veining

Veining patterns shift across the slab, so each piece differs.
