Granite · Slab
Mistic Black Brushed Granite Slab Random is a hard igneous stone with a speckled grain. The surface carries a brushed finish that reads as a soft, slightly textured plane with a low sheen. It arrives as full slabs in random sizes, each piece cut to order for countertops, shelves and large format walls. Pricing runs by quote, and the buyer requests a number for the exact slabs they select.
Design
The color sits firmly in black, with the natural granite grain visible across the field. Veining and speckling shift from one slab to the next, so the eye catches different marks on each sheet. Light plays across the brushed surface without throwing back a sharp glare. The random sizes mean every cut brings a new geometry to the room. Variation lives in the markings and in the dimensions, not in the color family. [link_phrases_to_use_verbatim: explore the design details] [link_phrases_to_use_verbatim: see how it works on walls]
Each piece measures differently, so the layout depends on the cut list.
The abrasive brushing leaves a soft texture that hides fingerprints and water spots.
Where to use it
The slab suits residential countertops, shower walls, commercial interior walls and residential interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone after it arrives from the warehouse. Open stock holds six slabs in Fairfax, all pulled from the same batch. Slabs from one batch match most closely, so the buyer should request that group for large runs. The stone resists scratches and heat better than marble, and it works well in bathroom and kitchen rooms. Slabs from the same block share the closest veining and grain pattern.
The stone goes to a pro who templates, cuts and sets it on site.
Why we chose it
The brushed finish resists water spots and fingerprints better than polished stone. Wipe the surface with a pH neutral cleaner and dry it after use. A sealer helps in kitchen rooms, though granite needs sealing less often than marble.
