How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Nassau Polished Quartzite Slab Random arrives in green with a polished finish. You get full slabs in random sizes. A batch is the group of slabs cut from one block, so slabs in the same batch look the closest to each other. We do not have units in stock right now. Pricing is by quote.

Design

Green in polished stone

The green color runs through the quartzite with natural veining that shifts from slab to slab. Each slab is one piece of stone with its own size and its own markings. The polished finish is buffed to a mirror shine that deepens the stone's color and veining. You can expect noticeable variation between one slab and the next. This variation is part of the natural stone character.

Where to use it

The stone suits commercial interior walls, residential interior walls and residential countertops. A licensed fabricator templates and installs it. Slabs are cut to order for countertops, shelves and large-format walls. You can use it in bathrooms and kitchens. The polished finish shows wear sooner, so it suits low-traffic areas.

Care

Quartzite is harder than marble and holds a polish well. It resists etching far better than marble but should still be sealed in kitchens and wet rooms. Wipe spills promptly to maintain the mirror shine.

How is the slab delivered?

Slabs are delivered to a licensed fabricator. Delivery is by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse holding the slab, and by crated LTL freight beyond that.

What finishes are available?

The Nassau Polished Quartzite Slab Random comes in a polished finish. A polished finish is buffed to a mirror shine that deepens the stone's color and veining.
