Quartzite · Slab
Four batches of Negresco Textured Quartzite sit in stock, each batch a set of slabs cut from one block so the veining runs similar across them. This quartzite arrives as full slabs in random sizes, including 76x116 inches, 77x133 inches, and 78x123 inches, all at 1 1/4 inches thick. The stone comes in a black base with a textured finish that reads flat in direct light. A textured surface adds grip and masks wear over time. Pricing on these slabs comes by quote, not by the square foot. See the veining details and check the compatible rooms to plan your cut list.
Design
Black stone with veining
The black base carries grey and white veining that shifts from slab to slab. Each piece is one solid slab with its own size and its own markings, so no two slabs match exactly. The textured finish breaks up reflection and gives the surface a matte look without dulling the stone. You get four batches in stock, which means the veining patterns stay consistent within each group but change between groups. Read about batch consistency and see the sizes available to match your layout.
Random sizes
Slabs come in 76x116 in, 77x133 in, and 78x123 in sizes. Each slab covers between 61.22 and 71.12 square feet.
Textured finish
The textured surface adds grip and hides wear better than a polished stone.
Where to use it
Countertops and walls
Licensed fabricators template and install this stone for residential countertops, shower walls, residential interior walls, and commercial interior walls. We stock seven slabs across two warehouses in Fairfax, VA and Carlstadt, NJ. Slabs from the same batch look closest together, so ask for batch matching if your project crosses multiple slabs. We do not deliver to job sites. Delivery goes to a licensed fabricator by A-frame truck within fifty miles of the warehouse, or by crated LTL freight beyond that. Learn about delivery limits and view the care steps for long term use.
Bathroom and kitchen
This stone suits bathroom and kitchen rooms for countertops and walls.
Seven slabs in stock
We hold seven slabs in Fairfax, VA and Carlstadt, NJ. Each slab covers between 61.22 and 71.12 square feet.
Why we chose it
- Batch matchingThe batch list shows four groups cut from separate blocks. Slabs within one group share the same veining direction and color density, which matters when your layout crosses multiple slabs.
- Size optionsThe slabs in stock measure 76x116 inches, 77x133 inches, and 78x123 inches. These sizes let you plan large format installations without repeating a small pattern.
- Finish and gripThe textured finish adds surface relief for grip and hides wear. It works well on horizontal and vertical surfaces that see heavy use.
Care
Seal the stone in kitchens and wet rooms to resist etching and moisture. Clean with pH neutral cleaners and dry the surface after use to prevent water spots. Reapply sealant annually in high traffic areas to maintain the stone's resistance.
