Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

  • Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
  • LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
  • Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
  • Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Ocean Waves in Polished Quartzite

Ocean Waves is a quartzite slab with long diagonal movement and a polished face that deepens every line. The photograph shows a light, cool foundation crossed by flowing blue-gray bands, making this natural stone a strong choice when the countertop or wall should become the main pattern. It commands attention.

Design

Diagonal Blue Gray Current

Across the slab, dense blue-gray and charcoal lines sweep from upper left toward lower right over a pale gray-white ground. Some bands are hairline thin. Others widen into cloudy ribbons, with scattered beige and smoky patches interrupting the flow while the polished finish adds clear reflection and sharpens the layered movement.

Strong diagonal flow

Closely spaced lines create a clear direction that should be considered during layout.

Varied natural bands

Fine dark threads sit beside broader blue-gray, white, and occasional beige areas.

Where to use it

Plan the Veins Across Each Cut

For kitchen countertops, fabricator planning can place the sweeping bands where their diagonal movement remains visible across the finished pieces. Walls tell the full story. Bathroom shower walls or residential interior walls can display a larger section of the pattern, while commercial interior walls gain a pronounced natural focal surface.

Random dimensions

Slab sizes vary, so measurements and usable pattern areas must be checked on the selected piece.

Polished reflection

The mirrorlike finish strengthens contrast and brings depth to the blue-gray lines.

Why we chose it

  • Hard natural materialQuartzite is metamorphic sandstone that is harder than marble and holds polish well.
  • Individual markingsEvery slab carries its own arrangement of bands, clouds, and small tonal shifts.
  • Closest block matchSlabs in one batch come from the same block and generally coordinate most closely.
