How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Neolith Sintered Stone · Slab

Retrostone Neolith with a Silk Finish

Retrostone is a Neolith sintered stone slab made by pressing and firing minerals into a manufactured surface. The Silk finish keeps reflection restrained. Supplied in the listed 126x63 rectangular format with a 1/2 inch thickness, it gives contractors fixed dimensions for estimating countertops, floors and wall sections.

Design

Pale Chips Across Soft Gray

From edge to edge, the photographed surface has a warm light gray base filled with cream, ivory and pale gray fragments. Occasional peach, tan and charcoal pieces add restrained color. The chips are densely packed. Rounded and broken shapes point in many directions, creating an even field without long veins or concentrated clouds.

Balanced chip scale

Small flecks occupy the spaces between larger fragments and keep the pattern evenly filled.

Silk reflection

The finish limits glare so differences among the pale chips remain easy to see.

Where to use it

Connected Surfaces in a Fixed Format

With known slab dimensions, a fabricator can map Retrostone across a residential kitchen countertop before cutting begins. Walls gain continuity from its evenly distributed chips. The same pattern can also cover bathroom shower walls or residential interior floors, while a living room wall can display the terrazzo-like field across broad, coordinated sections.

What are the Retrostone dimensions?

Each slab comes in the listed 126x63 rectangular size with a 1/2 inch thickness. Those fixed measurements give the fabricator a known basis for layout and estimating.

How is the final price determined?

Retrostone is sold by the slab and priced by quote. The quote is prepared for the material selected for the project.

Can I request a sample?

Yes. A slab sample takes 6 to 9 business days to prepare and provides a small reference for the gray field, chip scale and Silk finish.
