How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Sintered Stone · Slab

Strata Argentum in Riverwashed Gray

Strata Argentum is a gray sintered stone slab manufactured by pressing and firing minerals. Its Riverwashed finish gives the face a tactile, low-glare quality. The listed 126x59 rectangular size and 1/4 inch thickness provide fixed specifications for a licensed fabricator planning residential countertops, floors or wall sections.

Design

Fine Bands Across Warm Gray

Across the slab, a warm light gray ground carries many closely spaced horizontal bands in cream, beige and slightly darker gray. A few soft waves pass through the center, while faint cloudy patches sit near the lower edge. No bold vein dominates. The Riverwashed surface adds visible texture and lets the long layered pattern read without strong glare.

Linear movement

Fine bands travel from side to side with gentle rises and dips.

Warm gray range

Cream and beige notes keep the pale gray face from appearing cold.

Where to use it

Long Lines Across Interior Surfaces

For a living room, the slab can carry its horizontal movement across residential interior walls or floors. Kitchen countertops are another suitable direction. Bathroom shower walls can use the long bands vertically or horizontally, depending on the planned cut, and early coordination helps the fabricator align movement between neighboring pieces.

Extended visual line

The horizontal pattern can make a wall, floor or countertop run feel longer.

Fixed thin format

The listed 1/4 inch thickness is a defined fabrication detail for the 126x59 slab.

Why we chose it

Minerals make the surfaceThe slab is formed from mineral material that is pressed and fired into a manufactured sintered body.
Production patterns stay closeA batch is one production run, and the through-body design repeats closely between slabs.
Licensed specialists finish the workThe selected material goes to a fabricator who templates, cuts and installs the finished sections.

Questions we get

What is the Riverwashed finish?

It is a tactile finish that reduces glare and gives the fine horizontal pattern a more pronounced surface quality.

Are the slab dimensions fixed?

Yes. Strata Argentum comes in the listed 126x59 rectangular size with a 1/4 inch thickness, rather than in random dimensions.

How does delivery work?

The slab goes to a licensed fabricator, not the job site. Delivery is by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse and by crated LTL freight beyond that distance.
