Granite · Slab
Virginia Mist Polished Granite Slab Random arrives as a full slab of black granite with a polished finish. It comes in random sizes that a fabricator cuts to your dimensions. Pricing is handled by quote for the slabs you select. We keep the stone in our US warehouses until a fabricator claims it. Contact us to pull a quote for the exact slab you want.
Design
The stone reads as a deep black ground with a speckled grain that a polished finish brings into sharp relief. Light catches the glassy surface and pulls out the contrast in the mineral flecks. Each slab carries its own size and its own pattern of markings. You will see slight variation between pieces as the stone moves from one block to the next. The batch list shows what sizes are currently available in Fairfax.
Polished granite
The mirror shine deepens the black ground and highlights the speckled grain.
Random slab sizes
Each slab is a single piece of stone with its own dimensions and markings.
Where to use it
Four surfaces in stock
This granite fits shower walls, residential countertops, residential interior walls and commercial interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone after it arrives from the warehouse. We do not ship slabs to a home or a job site. Delivery runs on an A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse, or by crated LTL freight beyond that range. The batch list shows the slabs that are ready for a fabricator to claim.
Shower walls
The polished surface suits vertical applications where moisture is present.
Residential countertops
Granite resists scratches and heat better than marble for kitchen counters.
Why we chose it
- Batch consistencySlabs cut from one block share the closest visual match, so checking the batch list confirms the exact look.
- Random sizesThe slab arrives in a random size that the fabricator cuts to your layout, so the batch list shows what is actually available.
- Polished finishThe buffed surface creates a mirror shine that deepens the black ground, but it shows wear sooner than a honed option.
Care
A polished granite surface needs sealing to maintain its resistance to stains. A sealer helps in kitchens where oils and acids meet the stone. Wipe spills promptly to keep the mirror shine clear.
